The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) launched its new Double Decker bus service on the Las Vegas Strip on Thursday, Oct. 27 2005. The Deuce provides another exclusive transportation option for residents and visitors alike along the busy Las Vegas Strip. The double decker accommodates 97 people and provides both an economical and environmentally sound transit option.

In 2007 the Deuce was placed into residential service to meet the demand
of some of our busiest routes. Routes like the 110 on Eastern Avenue
already had high ridership and the addition of the Deuce to that route
allows greater capacity and a nicer experience for the passenger.

June 2008, the new Deuce double deck, double staircase Deuce will once
again transform how Las Vegas uses transit. These new Deuce vehicles are
a proud addition to our fleet and feature a wide variety of improvements.

The extra staircase on the new Deuce will help you get up and down quicker
and you'll also be able to get on and off faster with wider entranceways.
Accessibility for mobility devices also sees a new feature with the new Deuce. Take advantage of the rear facing position for mobility devices. Riders will also
breath a little easier on our new Deuce with an improved air conditioning
system featuring larger air intakes in the cabin. While you're riding the Deuce,
a video surveillance system keeps you safe and new video panels will provide
you with stop information and additional content.
