Coca-Cola in conjunction with the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) are hosting a contest awarding laptop computers to the top 40 local high school seniors (graduating in 2010) who compose a 500-word minimum essay on the following topic:
“How can you reduce your carbon footprint by using the services offered by the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada?”
Guidelines:
All seniors in high school graduating in 2010.
All essays must be a minimum of 500 words, double spaced to be computer printed or handwritten by the student.
This contest is judged by the content of the letter and equally by how well it is written.
We encourage all educators to submit a final draft from their students, with emphasis placed on grammar, word choice, spelling and overall fundamentals of writing.
All letters must include the student’s name, teacher’s name, school and age.
Submitting Entries:
Entries must be received in the Partnership office by Thursday, March 18, 2010.

Judging:
Entries will be judged by a panel including the RTC Board Members, Coca-Cola executives, and Clark County school officials.
The laptops will be awarded at the end of May 2010.
