Job Access Reverse Commute (JARC) and New Freedom Program

MAX StationThe Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) is the designated recipient for Job Access Reverse Commute (JARC) and New Freedom grant funds from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) for Clark County. The program of proposed projects were solicited through a Competitive Transportation Selection Process for JARC grants to support the development and maintenance of transportation services designed to improve access to jobs and employment related activities for welfare recipients and eligible low-income individuals, and to transport residents of urbanized and non-urbanized areas to suburban employment opportunities. The New Freedom program is intended to expand the transportation mobility options available to persons with disabilities beyond the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
