Senate Bill No. 173

As part of the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada’s (RTC)’s ongoing efforts to operate and maintain a safe and convenient mass transit system, the RTC has worked closely with its member entities to install bus turnouts throughout Southern Nevada. During the 2009 Nevada State Legislative session the Legislature passed Senate Bill No. 173, which required the RTC to designate 10 new bus turnout locations throughout the valley. The Bill requires that the turnouts be constructed by the end of 2012. The RTC worked closely with local jurisdictions to identify the following 10 locations and alternate locations.
