
The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC), as the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), is seeking the public’s comment on the 2011-2014 Transportation Improvement Program’s (TIP) Amendment to add RTC Bike Share Program and to make various adjustments to the Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Program, and to add and delete segments to the RTC Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan which is an element of the Regional Transportation Plan.
The RTP sets out the vision, goals, and objectives of the RTC and describes the regional strategic transportation investments expected to be completed in Southern Nevada over the next 20 years. The TIP identifies regionally significant roadway, transit, bikeway, and pedestrian safety transportation improvement projects to be funded from 2011 through 2014. The RTP and TIP were developed in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Transportation, Nevada Department of Transportation, Clark County, and the cities of Boulder City, Henderson, Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, and Mesquite.
