MAX: ServiceFor the demonstration project, the fourth busiest Citizens Area Transit (CAT) bus route was selected as the MAX corridor. This route is also the second busiest residential-based route in the system, with many of the area's residents being low-income, service industry workers who depend on transit to get to work. The MAX Line runs along Las Vegas Boulevard North and complements the CAT bus route 113 already in place. The RTC designated approximately seven miles for the MAX corridor, connecting Las Vegas' Downtown Transportation Center to Nellis Air Force Base. (click for larger version of map) Schedule: The MAX Line operates daily from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. MAX vehicles leave approximately every 12 minutes from the DTC and the Craig Road Station between 5 a.m. and 7 p.m. and approximately every 20 minutes between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Fare for the MAX service is the same as on a CAT Bus: Full Fare:
