Our Services

Club Ride provides free, one-on-one assistance to design and implement customized commute options programs and air quality improvement programs.

Club Ride makes it easy for employers to participate by designating a Club Ride outreach coordinator who manages the partnership and ensures the program’s success. Partners receive program assessments, marketing materials, training, ongoing support and much more.

  • Employee outreach – Onsite events, marketing materials and promotional incentives. Club Ride will also help one of your employees serve as the transportation coordinator (TC) to assist with program implementation.
  • Ridematching – Club Ride will help employees find carpool and vanpool partners to share the ride.
  • Guaranteed Ride Home – Eliminate an employee’s fear of being stranded at work when he or she uses a commute alternative. GRH reimburses up to five rides home in case of an unexpected event.
  • Tax Benefits – By subsidizing employees’ vanpooling and/or transit costs – or letting employees pay via pre-tax benefits – employers reduce tax burdens and boost their bottom lines.
  • Transit pass discounts – Club Ride partners can buy transit passes in bulk at a discounted rate of five to 15 percent off.
  • Preferential parking – Reserved parking for carpools and vanpools is an easy, cost-effective way to support commute alternatives.
  • Telework program assistance – Let Club Ride help you start or expand a telework program.

Tax Advantages
By helping your employees pay for transit and vanpool expenses, your company may be eligible to take advantage of federal tax benefits. The Commuter Choice program permits employers to subsidize the full or partial expense up to $230. It also allows employees a $230 pre-tax benefit for transit or vanpool fares. Employers can save on payroll taxes and employees can save on income taxes. It’s a win-win!

New in 2009:
The 2008 Energy Act added “qualified bicycle commuting reimbursement” to the list of qualified transportation fringe benefits, which means in 2009, any employer may reimburse an employee up to $20 per month tax-free for reasonable expenses incurred by the employee for the purchase of a bicycle and bicycle improvements, repair and storage if the bicycle is regularly used for travel between the employee's residence and place of employment.

EZ Rider Transit Pass Program
The EZ Rider Transit Pass Program allows employers to purchase discounted EZ Rider transit passes for employees as an added transportation benefit. These passes can be purchased in bulk at a discounted rate of five to 15 percent. Employers must be a Club Ride partner to get the discounted rate and added tax savings.

Discount Structure for EZ Rider passes:
Purchase up to 200 passes 5% discount
Purchase 201 – 500 passes 10% discount
Purchase 501 + passes 15% discount

Business People HandshakeTo qualify for the discount, employers must sign a contract agreeing to purchase a set number of passes over the course of the year. But how often the passes are delivered and when the employer pays is flexible. The EZ Rider 30 is a monthly pass that is good for 30 days from the first swipe, which means you can buy the pass in January and it’s still good in September if it hasn’t been used.

The convenience and flexibility of the EZ Rider Transit Pass program make it an easy addition to employers’ commute options programs.

Preferential Parking
Preferential parking is a great way to reward your employees for carpooling and vanpooling. Offering upfront or covered spaces to those who choose these alternative commute options is not only a great
incentive, but it costs your company practically nothing.

Club Ride even provides the tools you need, such as reserved parking signs and preferential parking rearview mirror hang tags.

Telework
Telework programs can be one of the best ways to attract and retain employees. With current technology, a telework program is much easier to implement than in the past, and research has shown that teleworkers are 10 to 20 percent more productive than their cubicle counterparts. Other business benefits include:
  • Easier recruitment and higher retention
  • Increased productivity
  • Improved morale and less stressed employees
  • Reduced parking and office space costs

Ask Club Ride about starting or expanding a telework program at your worksite.
